About

Jacob Stavsky is the founder and principal of Stav Equities LLC, a boutique investment firm specializing in purchasing value-add real estate opportunities.
Additionally, he advises high net-worth individuals and 1031 exchange clients in the acquisition and disposition of investment properties throughout New York City. His work has been highlighted in numerous industry publications, including The Real Deal, New York Real Estate Journal, The New York Times, Real Estate Weekly, Traded: New York, Real Estate Business Online and various other publications.
Prior to launching Stav Equities, Jacob worked in the Capital Markets division at Venture Capital Properties (VCPRE), where he specialized in the off market sales of multifamily and mixed-use properties throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx. He came to VCPRE from Treetop Development, where he worked alongside the Acquisitions team during his senior year of college, evaluating prospective deals for a company with holdings in excess of $1B.
Jacob has extensive experience in real estate sales and property valuations, particularly in the area of income and expense analysis to forecast Cash Flow, IRRs and Cash-On-Cash returns. He holds a double Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from The Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University in Manhattan.

Undervalued, mismanaged, or physically distressed properties with potential for renovation and repositioning.

Mixed-Use Buildings

Properties combining residential, retail, and office spaces, offering opportunities for reconfiguration and value enhancement.

Residential Conversions

Underutilized or outdated properties that can be renovated, repositioned, or converted to residential use.
